Growing up in Fort Worth, Texas, my favorite pastime was making home movies with friends and family, which took me on a course to becoming Editor-in-Chief of my school newspaper and earning degrees in Journalism and Film and Visual Cultures at Washington & Lee University. Set in the small, picturesque town of Lexington, Virginia, my experience at W&L inspired me to begin my professional career writing hard-hitting news in small towns across America. Working for weekly newspapers in Española, New Mexico and Bonners Ferry, Idaho, I have honed my ability as an award-winning enterprise reporter.

Idaho Press Club “Best of 2024” 1st Place Award winner for Education Reporting and Sports Prep Reporting, and IPC 2nd Place Rookie of the Year Award.
